Many people when they try to learn mentalism, they do it in a wrong way. I would even say they start from the wrong end. They think that you have to be an expert in psychology, be a specialist in hypnosis and be a professional performance artist. Well, if you have all those skills and qualities of course they will help you a lot both to learn mentalism and perform successfully straight away. However, assuming that this article is for the beginners, let’s see the other way how you can learn mentalism.

I am such a person that I have to keep the interest up all the way in whatever I start learning would it be mentalism or anything else. Therefore starting the long way from studying psychology as a science, hypnosis and other stuff partially side related to the mentalism, I would get bored to death before even understanding what mentalism is and how it actually works. That being said, I recommend you to dive into mentalism straight away and learn mentalism tricks, some basic ones, really simple to learn and perform. This way you will keep your interest really high, because you will be fascinated by the reaction of the spectator who you perform to. You sort of just started and boom! People think you can read their minds. Isn't it awesome?

Apart from the interest which will drive you forward to learn mentalism tricks and get deeper and deeper into mentalism, you also will learn it in the most effective in my opinion way, like babies learn to speak. No one teaches them to speak, they just look around, make small effort to repeat what others do and they speak. The same way you can learn mentalism.
